Princeville is situated in the Northern part of Peoria County.  We are approximately 20 miles Northwest of Peoria.  In Peoria, there are three colleges and one university; Illinois Central College (ICC), Midstate College and Robert Morris College as well as Bradley University are available.  There are 3 hospitals; OSF St. Francis Medical Center (with a Children's Hospital), Methodist Medical Center and Proctor Hospital.  We have two airports, one for small planes and an International airport.  There are two shopping malls, The Shoppes of Grand Prairie and Northwoods Mall along with several smaller shopping centers.
Princeville is a community of approximately 1800 people. There is an outstanding (Methodist) church-related preschool for three and four year olds.  Three year olds attend two days a week, while four year olds attend three days a week.  There is also a childcare facility, Leaps and Bounds, for infants thru school age on the North side of Princeville. 
The school system is high academic achieving consolidated unit district.  Princeville Grade School holds grades K - 8.  Basic curriculum is offered as well as vocal music, band, art, physical education, special education and bi-lingual teachers to work with the migrant population.  There are a wide variety of sports for boys and girls to participate in.  The average class size is 20 students.
Princeville Community High School has approximately 210 students.  It is ranked 37th out of 665 public high schools.  Science labs are well equipped and vocational shop is outstanding.  Our school has a 95% graduate rate who attends college.  Princeville High School is state accredited and achievement tests show students ranking high nationally.  Athletic department works hard putting together winning teams and still provides opportunity for all to participate.
